Split Charter Summer 2026 A split charter (also called a shared or "open" charter) is when two or more unrelated individuals or small groups pay for individual seats on a boat, rather than paying for the entire vessel. This allows passengers to share the cost of a private charter while still enjoying the same PREMIUM experience. Sundance Sportfishing Florida Keys is booking split charters thru 2026 and we will keep an updated calendar online or on our Social media platforms. Please take a moment to read up on the criteria for a Sundance Sportfishing Split Charter Opportunity: Split Charter Policy Split Charters are made up of 2 separate groups of anglers, with a maximum of 6 anglers total. The Primary Party is the first group to request the Split Charter date and must place a $200 deposit. The Primary Party determines: - Charter date - Type of charter - Number of anglers in their party - Number of anglers needed - Split cost per secondary party Once a Secondary Party accepts the Split Charter and pays their required Split cost, the charter becomes LOCKED-IN. Once Locked-In, both parties are responsible for their portion of the charter, and the Split Charter becomes non-refundable. This protects both parties and guarantees that the charter takes place, if either party fails to appear. The only exception is a Captain-determined weather cancellation. All Split Charters must be paid in full upfront, once Locked-In. If a Secondary Party is not secured within 24 hours of the charter, the Primary Party may either: 1. Pay the full charter balance and go fishing, or 2. Cancel the Split request and receive a refund. A Split Charter must be Locked-In and paid in full before the reservation is officially secured. Booked Charters take priority over incomplete Split Charters. This means that if a Booked charter books the same date before a Split Charter is Locked-In, the incomplete Split charter may be rescheduled, cancelled or refunded.
