REEF & WRECK
Fishing Charters
Drop a line over Marathon’s pristine shallow reefs and discover why the Florida Keys are home to some of the best bottom fishing in the world. Snapper, grouper, hogfish, and dozens more — all within sight of land.
Reef Fishing
Fish the Reefs of Marathon
The shallow reefs off Marathon sit along the edge of the third-largest barrier reef system in the world. These limestone formations are natural magnets for dozens of species, from colorful snapper schooling over coral heads to hogfish rooting along the sandy edges.
Your captain will position the boat over proven reef structure at depths of 20 to 80 feet. Whether you’re bottom fishing with cut bait for snapper and grouper or casting jigs along the reef edge for mackerel and barracuda, there’s always something pulling at the line.
Reef trips are a great choice for families, first-time anglers, and anyone who wants steady action without a long boat ride.

Go Deeper
When conditions are right, your captain will push beyond the reef to the wrecks where bigger fish live and artificial structures hold trophy-class fish in deeper water.
Wreck Fishing
Deep Wreck Fishing
Scattered across the deeper water off Marathon are dozens of shipwrecks and artificial reefs — steel and concrete structure that rises off the bottom and holds bigger, more aggressive fish than the shallow reef.
Your captain will run to proven wreck numbers in 80 to 200+ feet of water. Drop live bait or heavy jigs down to the structure and hold on — grouper, amberjack, and big mutton snapper don’t give up easily once they’re hooked.
Wreck trips are built for anglers chasing a trophy who don’t mind a longer ride and a harder fight to earn it. In the spring, wreck fishing can produce cobia, African pompano, and permit, all exceptional fighters pound for pound.
